On the Matsu Islands, a group of young wrestlers channel their youthful energy into the sport, using each match as an outlet to resist the monotony of everyday life.
On the mat, where victory and defeat are decided in an instant, they truly feel the presence and passion of life.
But beyond the gym, both the coach and the wrestlers face their own personal challenges.
Much like the Matsu Islands, caught in the midst of the turbulent Taiwan Strait, the quest for a way out remains the most difficult and inevitable lesson of all.
